The idea of the Yoga Challenge is to explore commitment, consistency, curiosity, connection, community and transformation by practicing yoga for 30 or 60 consecutive days. We will buddy you up so that you will have some extra support, and someone to be accountable to.
Here are some suggestions for the 30/60 day Yoga Challenge. Pick one to work on every day during the challenge.
Get 6-8 hours a night of sleep.
Wake up and drink warm water with a lemon.
Over the day drink 2 litres of Water with lemon.
Listen to your body...don't push too hard in class
and consider giving yourself a gift of massage half way through the challenge.
Tell 10 positive people about your yoga challenge so you have
lot's of support.
Only play positive uplifting music, watch inspiring positive movies and read empowering books.
Write a note to yourself and post it on your fridge that says:
"Congratulations on being successful in completing the 30 day yoga
challenge."

Take time to be alone in nature.
Refuse to be around others who are low energy or drag you down. Surround yourself with positive, high energy people, empowering people.
Monitor your inner dialogue. You are what you think.
Meditate Regularly. Take time to be silent.
Be kind. Treat yourself and others with kindness when you eat, exercise,
play, work, love and everything else.
Be at peace with everyone. You can only be in conflict if you participate. No one is capable of making you upset without your consent.
Foods to avoid during the 30 days:
Alcohol
Meat
Dairy (with the exception of organic whole Yogurt)
Wheat/Yeast
Sugar
Anything that didn't exist 100 years ago
Power Foods to eat over the 30 days:
Chard, Almond butter, Pumpkin Seeds, Plain Yogurt , Blueberries, Broccoli, Carrots, Chili Peppers, Ground Hemp Seeds, Spinach, Blackberries, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Collard Greens, Strawberries, Papaya, Pineapple, Kiwi, Mangoes, Kale, Apricots, Raspberries, Ground Flax Seeds, Garlic, Ginger, Beans, Miso, Tempeh, Ancient Grains, Oats, Yogic Recipes.
Take a cold shower and boost your immune system! Hydrotherapy is one step that is mind over ego for sure and one of the best
things that can be done for overall health. Before you step into the
shower, you'll first want to oil your body with a little almond oil. You
may also add essential oils of your choice to the almond oil to bring
about a desired effect. This is also the time to preform a daily
Massage.
Learn how to use a Neti pot to cleanse out the sinuses
Jala Neti – (nose cleaning)
In this practice one cleans the nostrils using warm salty water from a special container or neti pot.
A neti pot is filled with luke warm water. The spout is placed into one nostril, so that it sits tight. The head is held at an angle so that the water runs by itself in through one nostril and out the other. This is a pleasant practice, it's true! Thousands agree, and once learned, it can be easily practiced at home as often as necessary.

Maybe for you just making a commitment and keeping it could be a big change! Whatever we think might happen, after 30 days of the yoga Challenge, we will all be surprised and learn a lot... about yoga and about ourselves!
The transformative power of yoga is available to all of us… but only if we really make a commitment of time and consistency. What would happen if we all did that together for 30 and 60 days? We’ll get together in the middle and at the end of the month to celebrate and commune together.
Q & A
What information will I need to help me with the challenge?
We will send you all the information via e-mail. You will be partnered up with another fellow Yogi. It will be up to you to call or e-mail this person to touch base.
Can I go to any class?
Yes, you can go to any class. We love home practice and meditation but THIS yoga challenge is about coming to class and being with your community.
What if I go out of town or can't make a time with the current schedule?
Either go to another yoga studio, do yoga with a Yoga DVD or do your own personal practice everyday that you are gone.
Can I take more than one class in a day?
The idea of the Challenge is to develop commitment, consistency and curiosity, so to meet the Challenge your requirement is to take one class daily. It's not about taking 30 or 60 classes, it's about taking asana class daily for 30 or 40 days. You are more then welcome to come to two classes in a day but is not recommended for this challenge unless you need to make up a class.
What are the other benefits to completing the yoga Challenge?
We will be so proud of you for deepening your practice and your name will be entered into a raffle at the end once you have successfully completed the challenge. Complete it, and your name goes into a draw to win prizes.
Rules & Regulations:
Participants must complete a full consecutive 30 or 60 days of practice. Only the following exceptions will be permitted: 1 time per week if a participant misses a day, they can make it up by practicing 2 times in 1 day. 1 time per week, a student may practice in another studio or group class other than Myoga. Verification of payment by receipt is required. Home practice may apply if there are no other options.
Participants must pre-register prior to or by the day of the challenge (some exceptions may apply).
30 Day Yoga Challenge is $99.00 + HST
60 Day Yoga Challenge is $198 + HST
Those who purchase unlimited monthly passes do not need to pay any extra!
